A little bit about Kilian:
Hi, I’m Kilian — a Swiss open-water swimmer competing on the World Cup circuit alongside my brother and business partner, Nolan. My path in swimming has never been straightforward, but it has always been mine. Growing up with ADHD, the water became the place where everything finally made sense. Swimming gave me structure, clarity, and a kind of peace I couldn’t find anywhere else. It was simple, pure, and endlessly challenging — the perfect mix for someone who needed an outlet and a purpose.
I’ve always been competitive by nature. From a young age, I pushed myself to get as close as possible to the best athletes around me. That hunger never faded. Swimming became my whole life — if I’m not in the pool training, I’m recovering from training, coaching other athletes, or building BlackLine. I love the grind, I love the structure, and I love the process of getting a little better every single day.
Outside the pool, though, I’m a pretty simple person. Time with my girlfriend, long beach days, history podcasts, and hikes are more than enough to recharge me. I love the contrast of intensity and calm — it keeps me grounded and reminds me why I do what I do.
My long-term dream is clear: I want to represent Switzerland at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032. It’s a goal I’ve held for my entire career, and for the first time, I’m genuinely inching closer to making it real.
1. Why did you start BlackLineSwim?
Honestly — because I needed a way to support the dream. Swimming is a tough sport, not just physically but financially. Living between Switzerland and Australia, traveling to races, funding training camps, and maintaining a high-performance lifestyle… it all adds up fast. I wanted to build something that allowed me to turn my passion into my work. I’ve always believed that if you love what you do, you never call it a job — and BlackLine became exactly that. A way to combine passion, purpose, and possibility.
2. My Favourite Part of Black Line Swim
The community. From day one, I wanted to build a space for endurance swimmers, triathletes, ocean lovers, and everyone who values consistency, discipline, and intention. Today, that community grows every single day — a global family connected through swimming. BlackLine is the fusion of Swiss precision and Australian love of the water, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’re building together.
