Most paddles only add resistance. Vélocité is sized to feel resistance with purpose — close enough to your hand that a sloppy catch shows up instantly instead of getting muscled through. We train in these ourselves, every week, under coach John Rodgers in Noosa.

Yes, when sized right. Pick a paddle only slightly larger than your hand — that's what Vélocité is built around. New to paddle work or shoulder-sensitive? Start with XS and shorter technique sets.

Two sizes: XS for younger or smaller-handed swimmers, M for adults wanting more resistance. One or two-strap setup, adjustable to taste. Not sure which fits? Use the size guide on the product page.

Rinse after every session, dry away from direct sun, store flat in your kit. Simple care keeps them performing session after session.

Are paddles good for beginners?
Yes, with caution. Start with a smaller size that matches your hand and focus on technique, not power. That's the exact gap Vélocité's balanced sizing is built to close.

How often should I train with paddles?
Most swimmers use them 1–2 times a week during technique or power sets. They're a supplement to your training, not a replacement for it.

Can paddles cause shoulder injuries?
Only if they're oversized or used incorrectly. Prioritise technique over force, start with shorter sets, and size down if you feel any shoulder discomfort.

Will paddles actually help me swim faster?
Indirectly, yes. They build pulling strength and sharpen your catch — both carry over to a faster, more efficient stroke once you take them off.

Do triathletes use swim paddles too?
Absolutely. With limited swim volume in tri training, paddles make each session count more by building strength and endurance faster.

Warm-up or main set?
Main sets and technique drills — not warm-up. Save warm-up for mobility and feel for the water before adding resistance.

Paddles vs. Hypoxic Snorkel — what's the difference?
Paddles sharpen your catch and pull. The snorkel stabilises body position by removing the need to turn and breathe. Together as the Performance Bundle, most swimmers feel the biggest jump.

The Difference

What Sets Vélocité Apart?

Most paddles just add drag. Vélocité was built from the ground up by competitive swimmers who train seriously — every decision made in the pool, not the boardroom.

Shoulder-Safe by Design

Sized close to your hand — enough resistance to build real strength, not so much that it overloads your shoulder joint. Train harder for longer without the injury risk.

Instant Technique Feedback

The moment your catch drops or your hand angle is off, you feel it. Every set teaches your body something instead of just adding yardage.

Built for Speed & Endurance

Builds pulling power and stroke efficiency together — not one at the cost of the other. Used by triathletes and squad swimmers training for real results.

Athlete-Tested, Swiss-Designed

Created by national-level Swiss open water swimmers. These aren't gear for the sake of gear — they're what's in the kit bag at every training session.

How To Use

Vélocité works best in the sessions that demand something from you — the ones where your form tightens, your pull gets heavier, and the water finally moves the way it should.
